This page explains what information is collected when you visit filerise.net, purchase a FileRise Pro license, and download the FileRise Pro bundle.

Who we are

FileRise is a self-hosted file manager project maintained by an individual developer. This site (filerise.net) is used to sell FileRise Pro licenses and distribute the Pro add-on bundle.

Information we collect

We collect and process the following types of information:

• Web server logs: When you visit this site, the web server may log your IP address, browser user agent, requested URLs, and timestamps. This is standard for operating any website and is used for security and debugging.
• Payment information (via Stripe): When you purchase FileRise Pro, payment details (card information, billing details) are handled by Stripe. Card numbers are never stored on this server.
• Email address: When you complete a purchase, Stripe provides an email address which is used to issue your license and associate it with you.
• License data: When a license is generated, a record may be stored including the license ID, license type (for example: personal or business), email address, bundle version, and issue/expiry timestamps.

How your information is used

• To process your payment for FileRise Pro through Stripe.
• To generate and deliver your FileRise Pro license and Pro bundle download.
• To keep basic records of issued licenses (for troubleshooting, support, and abuse prevention).
• To secure and operate this website (for example, analyzing logs for errors or abuse).

Cookies and analytics

The site may use basic session cookies during the checkout and license flow in order to function correctly. At this time, no third-party analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) are intentionally used.

Data sharing

Your data may be shared with:

• Stripe, for payment processing. Stripe acts as a payment processor and receives the information necessary to process your payment. For details, see Stripe’s own privacy policy.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers, such as the VPS provider and DNS provider, who may have access to logs or traffic as part of providing their services.

Your data is not sold to third parties, and license details are not shared except as required by law or to operate the service (for example, backups).

Data retention

License and payment records may be kept for as long as reasonably necessary to:

• Provide support or re-send license information if you lose it.
• Maintain accurate accounting and tax records.
• Prevent abuse or fraudulent use of licenses.

Your rights

Depending on your country or region, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data that is held about you. If you have any questions about what is stored or would like a copy of your license details, you can contact the maintainer using the email address listed in the FileRise repository or on this site.

Self-hosted FileRise instances

This privacy policy covers only the public site (filerise.net) and the FileRise Pro purchase/issuance flow. Your own self-hosted FileRise instance is under your control; you are responsible for any data you collect or process there.

Changes to this policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date will be adjusted when changes are made.
